The Department of Land Registry and Cadastre is a new department opened within Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. It is the 2nd university in Turkey to admit students in this field as of the 2019-2020 academic year. It is one of the promising departments of our Vocational School located in the developing district of Gölhisar.
Land registry and cadastre transactions are an important field that will be needed as long as humanity exists, just as they have been valid and necessary for centuries. The rapid developments in the field of Land Registry and Cadastre have led to the emergence of new job definitions and opportunities in various sectors and have contributed to the creation of employment areas for thousands of people. Land Registry and Cadastre experts are needed to meet this employment demand.
As the Department of Land Registry and Cadastre of Gölhisar School of Applied Sciences; it is aimed to train experts who can perform transactions such as purchase, sale, foreclosure, mortgage, annotation, etc., related to the land registry, along with acquiring basic skills in the land registry and cadastre sector. Additionally, it is aimed to ensure that students are trained to be competent in using computer-aided map-making programs in light of technological developments, creating cadastral maps with practical training, performing cadastral controls, and mastering zoning applications.
Students who prefer our department will be able to benefit from the technological infrastructure and the accumulation of academic staff of the Department of Computer Technology and Information Systems, which provides education within the Gölhisar School of Applied Sciences. Additionally, our students have the opportunity to study in a 1-year (optional) English Preparatory Class at the central campus of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.
